In_Between_Lines: On What Remains

In_Between_Lines is an interdisciplinary artistic research project, developed as part of my Master’s degree, that weaves text, performance, images, and found traces into a living archive. It explores how knowledge, memory, and identity linger in the in-between – across borders, languages, and bodies – through a practice of collecting, layering, and reassembling what is left behind.

The project took shape as a living journal: part archive, part fieldnote, part performance score. It gathers fleeting gestures, fragments of images, experimental texts, and traces of what remained throughout a deeply personal migration journey from South Africa to Austria. Each entry marks a moment of movement: a border crossed, a delay held, a thought unfinished.

In_Between_Lines becomes a space to dwell in what resists capture, an invitation to write, rewrite, and unwrite the lines that bind and unbind us.
